Project summary:

A nationwide range review of the Power Tools display to create a more inspirational experience for their customers

Problem:

To deliver a nationwide programme on-time, to a set standard for each store and with 100% safety record

Our Solution:

We completed store surveys across the full B&Q estate within 4 weeks and reported back to Polypal using our real time auditing technology. Our project then included: 

  • All Power Tools moved to low level racking cut down by our teams
  • All accessories and workwear moved into new spaces
  • All new ranges merchandised to new layout and plans
  • All displays fitted with new displays and POS

We assigned experienced installers, invested in high quality tools and provided a real time reporting platform for sign offs. Our team implemented a comprehensive briefing day for every installer at our Nottingham office. As part of our focus on customer engagement, we invited the key stakeholders to attend and meet the teams during the session.

We completed live and practical demonstrations of the work to be carried out, making sure all of our installers worked in a uniform way to safely deliver each store.

Results:

The refit programme was completed in 90 stores nationwide, with only 1% snag rate (all of which were remedyon-time) and 100% safety record.
